Università per Stranieri di Perugia
The University for Foreigners Perugia is the oldest Italian institution involved in teaching and research activities as well as in the diffusion of the Italian language and civilisation in all expressions.
It offers Courses of Italian Language and Culture together with Graduate and Post-graduate Degrees on International Communication, Cultural Mediation and International Relations (8,000 students per year from over 100 different countries).
Member of: Italian-French University, Italian-German University, UNIMED, ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe, it issues 12,000 Certificates of knowledge of the Italian language per year). 80 Cultural Agreements with universities and institutions worldwide. It cooperates with the EU Commission (Erasmus Mundus and Multilingualism policies). It participates to Socrates/Erasmus and Leonardo European Programmes and organises the EILC courses (European Intensive Language Course). Other projects in collaboration with the Conference of the Italian University Rectors and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Aid to Development and Cultural promotion).
